While mainstream media has only become acquainted with Blake Shelton over the past year (thanks to the popularity of 'The Voice'), we in country music have cherished his wit, music and good looks for more than a decade. Proving that no amount of television success can take him away from his roots, People Country has named the 'God Gave Me You' singer 'Country's Hottest Guy.'

"I think it's funny because there is nothing about me, if I was a girl, that I would think is sexy," the 6'5" singer tells the magazine for the issue, which hits newsstands tomorrow (March 30).

However, Blake's wife, Miranda Lambert, naturally disagrees, calling him "striking and tall." "The minute he opens his mouth and starts talking to you, he makes you smile," she says. "That's what made me think, 'Oh my gosh, this guy is awesome.'"

Other country studs to make the list include last year's hottest guy Keith Urban and 2010 honoree Tim McGraw. In addition, Brad Paisley, Chris Young, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Scotty McCreery, Josh Turner and David Nail earned honorable mentions.

"I could say what everybody always says: you don't see me in the morning," David said with a laugh at the news, "but I know that this is a huge complement – and it's nice to know people think you're desirable. I think in my case, the music has a lot to do with it."

Blake is currently juggling his tour with taping 'The Voice.' See him next at Country Thunder in Florence, Ariz., on April 14. A full list of tour dates may be found here.
