Lady Antebellum's Dave Haywood is busy planning his upcoming wedding to fiancée Kelli Cashiola, in addition to crossing the country on the band's Own the Night tour. The 29-year-old says he's caught up in the anticipation of the big day, which he reports will happen sometime this year.

"I enjoy the wedding planning and setting up where everything is going to be," he admits to People magazine.

The Georgia native is even taking notes from fellow bandmates Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, who have already tied the knot. "Being in the band really helped prepare all of us for [marriage]," notes Hillary, who wed drummer Chris Tyrell in January. "We all have roles that we fall into naturally."

Charles, who wed publicist Cassie McConnell in 2009, encouraged Dave that being married has multiple perks. "[We] were having a conversation the other day about learning that you have someone to lean on and you can divvy up responsibilities," he notes.

Still, in spite of the words of wisdom from his bandmates, the upcoming groom says he will figure it out on his own. "I'm not taking their advice," Dave jokes. But the multi-instrumentalist adds he has no reservations about becoming a husband.

"We've known each other for years, and I think when you know, you know," he explains. "As cliché as it is, it's totally true. We had this window of time off. It's so funny, we squeezed a lot of living into about four weeks. But, we were ready to go there."

Dave and Kelli will have to do much of their wedding planning long-distance. The Own the Night tour kicks off a series of shows in Canada tomorrow night (March 13), followed by stops in Washington, Oregon and California. See Lady A's tour schedule here.
