The Mavericks Reunite for 2012 Stagecoach Festival

California's Stagecoach Festival has been one of the most star-studded festivals in country music, and next year will be no exception. The three-day event, ready to celebrate its fifth year, promises some of today's biggest artists, plus a welcome return of one particular band, after almost a decade away from the spotlight.

Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will headline the weekend, held April 27 to April 29 in Indio, Calif. Other artists appearing include Alabama, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Justin Moore, the Band Perry, Luke Bryan. Grammy-winning group the Mavericks, who scored three Top 10 country albums in the '90s, are reuniting for the first time since 2003, specifically for the festival.

"Stagecoach is obviously the perfect way to start a tour, for the band to be reintroduced to us as well as for us to refamiliarize ourselves with the fans," lead singer Raul Malo explains (quote via the Los Angeles Times). "It's one of the great music festivals of the world. This time out, we'll get to do things right and finish what we started on our own terms -- not subject to the powers that be."

CMA Vocal Group of the Year award winners in 1995 and 1996, the Mavericks enjoyed such hits as 'All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down' and 'What a Crying Shame.' They'll follow their appearance at Stagecoach with a summer tour through the United States and Europe. Tour dates will be announced shortly.

Camping sites are available for the Stagecoach Festival at the event. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 28, and can be purchased here.
