On September 13, when George Jones celebrates his 80th birthday at the Grand Ole Opry, it's doubtful he'll actually blow out a candle for every year he's been alive. Not even 20-year-olds have that kind of wind. The country legend will, however, sample three desserts, and when he picks his favorite, he'll make one fan very happy.

The Opry has announced they'll celebrate the country legend with a concert -- slated to include such artists as Alan Jackson, Montgomery Gentry, and Pam Tillis -- and a special dessert contest to commemorate the institution's own upcoming anniversary.

From now through September 2, aspiring cooks are encouraged to submit recipes via the Opry's Facebook page. Fans will then "like" their favorites, and the three most popular treats will be prepared by a professional chef and served up to George next month.

The winner, as declared by the singer, wins a trip to the Opry's birthday party in October, as well as the chance to add their sugary creation to the menu of the Opry's Backstage Grill.
