Talk about a memorable first 'kiss.' Lady Antebellum's latest single has landed the trio in the record books, as 'Just a Kiss' makes its debut at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That's the highest debut by a country group in the 52-year history of the chart.

The song, which is the first single off the trio's highly-anticipated third studio album, sold 211,000 copies in its first week, landing at No. 1 on the iTunes country singles chart and becoming the Lady A's fastest-rising single to date. So, if there was any fear of not being able to follow the monstrous, Grammy-sweeping success of 'Need You Now,' the trio can now breathe a sigh of relief!

"The day we wrote this song was one of those days that renewed my faith in the bond the three of us have as songwriters," recalls Lady A's Charles Kelley. "It came so easily, and it reminded me of the early days when we first started out, and we'd spend hours in my brother Josh [Kelley]'s house writing songs. Everyone keeps asking if we feel pressure after the success of 'Need You Now,' and we are trying to not even think about the new album or these songs in those terms. We are just writing about what we are going through in our lives, and we hope that country music fans continue to connect with them."

The reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year will perform 'Just a Kiss' on the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, set to air May 22 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC. They're up for three trophies: the all-genre Top Duo or Group and Top Billboard 200 Album awards, along with Top Country Album for 'Need You Now.'

Lady Antebellum's as-yet-untitled CD featuring 'Just a Kiss' will be released later this summer.
