It's known to be one of the biggest Independence Day celebrations in the nation, and this year Nashville will commemorate the holiday with a three-day event, Let Freedom Sing. And sing it will, as Darius Rucker closes the festivities with a little help from his friends.

The South Carolina native will perform July 4 at Music City's Riverfront Park, under a sky bursting with lights from one of the largest fireworks displays in the country, accompanied by the world-renowned Nashville Symphony. Other performers taking the stage during the holiday include Ayla Brown, the Willis Clan, the Cleverlys and the Dirty Guv'nah's.

Other activities held from July 2 to July 4 include a display of one of the largest American flags, which flew above the wreckage at Ground Zero during 9/11 and a concert with the band Port Chuck. More activities are expected to be announced in the coming months.

Music City has a long history of playing host to several big stars of all genres during the July 4 celebration, including Trace Adkins, who took the stage last year, along with Julianne Hough, the Dirt Drifters and gospel artist Jaci Velasquez. Darius will spend the next several months on the road, including several dates with Brad Paisley on his H20 II World Tour.
