Jana Kramer Moves From ‘One Tree Hill’ to Nashville

Actress Jana Kramer, who plays Alex Dupre on 'One Tree Hill,' has signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville. The actress will debut her first single, 'I Won't Give Up,' which she co-wrote, on tonight's (February 8) episode of the CW television drama.

"'I Won't Give Up' is about never giving up on the ones you love," Jana tells the Examiner. "I wrote this song because I know what it's like to be dependent on someone, then have to learn to stand on my own again."

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter is hoping to inspire others through her songwriting."It's a great, different way to express myself," she says. "I love it. If I can do that with my music, touch people the way that it's touched me, than I've done my job."

Jana splits her time between Nashville and Wilmington, N.C., where she shoots 'One Tree Hill.' Filming for the show, which airs on the CW Tuesdays at 8:00 PM ET, will wrap in mid-March.
