Carrie Underwood is doing her part for the musical environment by recycling an old hit. The country superstar's 2006 smash single, 'Before He Cheats,' will be featured on a compilation of chart-topping songs by 'American Idol' contestants.

'American Idol -- The Hits,' will be available on March 15. Other artists appearing on the project include Chris Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Fantasia, Jordin Sparks, Adam Lambert, Taylor Hicks, Ruben Studdard, David Cook, Kris Allen and reigning champ Lee DeWyze.

Carrie, who won Season 4 of 'Idol,' says she is pleased with how her career has evolved since that time. "It was so instant in the beginning, and now I feel like [the fans and I] kind of have a relationship," she tells The Boot. "I feel like I can enjoy it a lot more because I was so in shock in the beginning."

The current Grammy and ACM nominee is dividing her time between Nashville and Canada, where she joins her husband, Ottowa Senators player Mike Fisher, in settling into their new home. She can next be found performing on March 4 at the Grand Ole Opry.
