While the final results of this year's 'Celebrity Apprentice' are far from being announced, show alum Trace Adkins is putting his money on John Rich.

"After I finished the season that I was on, they asked me, 'Do you have any suggestions for us for somebody else from the country music world?'" Trace tells The Boot. "And before they even got it out of their mouth, I said, 'John Rich. You've gotta go for John Rich. Trust me. He'll give you what you want. He'll come in here an take over. He'll probably fire you.' [laughs]"

Although, Trace didn't have any 'Apprentice' pointers for his fellow country singer. "John doesn't need any advice from me," he insists.

Even the big man himself, Donald Trump, was impressed by John, who raised money for St. Jude Children's Hospital during his tenure on the show. "John is very clever," Donald states. "He's very smart."

John's 'Apprentice' competitors include LaToya Jackson, Gary Bussey, Star Jones, NeNe Leakes, Jose Canseco, Lisa Rinna, David Cassidy, Niki Taylor, Richard Hatch, Marlee Matlin, Meatloaf, Mark McGrath, Hope Dworaczyk, Lil Jon and Dionne Warwick.

Trace, who had a similarly eclectic cast of characters on his 'Apprentice' season, says he enjoyed his experience on the show. But don't expect him to be a reality TV regular, unless he's playing for the Food Allegery and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN), in honor of his daughter who suffers from severe food allergies.

"I don't intend to do any more of them," Trace told The Boot. "The only reason I did 'Apprentice' was because of the charitable aspect. My career is fine, and i don't need to do that stuff unless it has some nobler aim. I'm not gonna go run through the jungle and try to survive just to prove that I can. That'd be the shortest show in history any way. The first day, I'd take a big stick and say, 'Everybody get off my island or I'll kill you,' and that'd be the end of the show."

Trace is performing at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium this Saturday (January 29) as part of the Grand Ole Opry alongside Toby Keith, who is playing for the first time since his 2002 debut. After that, Trace is headed Pembroke Pines, Fla. for a show January 30. Get a full list of dates and cities here.
