Oklahoma is getting ready to celebrate 'George Strait Day,' Saturday, January 15. Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett will proclaim the day in honor of King George, the top-grossing concert act -- $5.4 million in ticket sales and 83,000 tickets -- in the eight-year history of the Oklahoma City Arena, according to NewsOK.

George, Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack are scheduled to perform that night in Oklahoma City. The trio are continuing a tour that made them the highest-grossing North American country tour in 2010, according to industry publication Pollstar. It grossed $41.6 million in box office receipts, placing 14th on Pollstar's all-genre Top 50 North American tours list.

If you're planning to attend one of the shows taking place on a Friday, be sure to wear a red shirt. George, a military veteran, started Red Shirt Friday to show support for the U.S. military.

"We are going to wear red shirts to every Friday's tour date and we encourage the fans to do the same,' says George. "I want to see a building full of red shirts if possible."

George, Reba and Lee Ann will be in Austin, Texas, on Friday, January 14. For a complete list of upcoming dates and venues, check here.
