Darius Rucker has traveled all over the world, first as the front man for Hootie & the Blowfish and now as one of country music's most successful solo artists. But for the South Carolina native, there's no place like home for the holidays.

"Christmas was awesome," he tells The Boot. "We had snow in Charleston!"

The happily married father of three says his children, ranging in age from six to 15, were thrilled with what Santa left under the tree. "They were crazy about everything," he says. "My oldest got a Mac. She was pretty excited. My son was excited about everything. He's six, so the boxes are what he's most excited about."

For Darius and his wife of ten years, Beth, Christmas is mostly about their children. "Our anniversary is December 9, so that's our big holiday," he reveals. "We give things to each other year round."

They also spent part of Christmas day with close friends. "We have a pretty cool neighborhood," Darius says. "People come over, we go to their house and just hang out. It's pretty laid back."

Darius is undoubtedly cramming in all the family time he can right now. Fresh off Brad Paisley's H20 World tour, he hits the road in January for a several months, including stops at Country Thunder in Wisconsin and We Fest in Minnesota. Find his tour dates here.
