Garrett Hedlund Sings ‘Chances Are’ — Exclusive Clip From ‘Country Strong’

Nashville may just have another Hollywood crossover soon, as actor Garrett Hedlund more than proves his country chops in the upcoming film, 'Country Strong.' In this exclusive movie clip, Garrett sings 'Chances Are,' a song penned by famed country tunesmiths Nathan Chapman, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose, also found on the 'Country Strong' soundtrack. Watch the video below, which is peppered with scenes from the movie, starring Gwyneth Paltrow as a country icon fresh out of rehab and Tim McGraw as her manager/husband who masterminds a comeback tour. Garrett and Leighton Meester play opening acts on the trek.

Tim, ironically, is the only main character who does not sing in the film. The country superstar admits he was happy to watch his co-stars take the singing spotlight. "Leighton did a fantastic job on her music. It was perfect for her. It fit her character perfectly," Tim tells The Boot. "And I tell ya, people are gonna be really blown away by Garrett. His music is so soulful. It's sort of singer-songwriter sounding. I would kill for his voice, to tell you the truth."
