Toby Keith to Headline Dauphin’s Countryfest 2011

Canada's biggest country music festival will welcome one of America's biggest stars next year. Dauphin's Countryfest in Manitoba recently announced its lineup for the four-day event, with Toby Keith headlining the impressive list of artists. He will be joined by Eric Church, as well as Canadian stars Doc Walker, George Canyon, Jason Blaine, Deric Ruttan, Jo Hikk and Wyatt at the festival, set for June 30 - July 3, 2011.

There may be some early birthday celebrations going on backstage at Countryfest, as Toby will celebrate the big 5-0 just 5 days after the festival. The 'big dog daddy' says turning 50 is really no big deal. "Age is just a number to me," he tells The Boot. "I'm very grateful and really healthy. There's people that are old when they're 25. I have several friends of mine -- coaches at major universities and pro [athletes] -- that maybe their dad died in his 50s, and they're like, 'Man, I've only got seven or eight years left.' Their dads and grandpa both died of heart congestion or something, and they're already preparing that they've lived it up. I play full court basketball two or three nights a week, and I feel like I did when I was 30."

Toby previously played Dauphin's Countryfest in 1995, while he was still promoting his sophomore album, 'Boomtown.' Now, the seasoned singer is celebrating his 14th studio album, 'Bullets in the Gun,' which soared all the way to No.1 on both the Top Country Albums and Billboard 200 charts.
