"Oh my gosh, it's unbelievable," said a beaming Taylor Swift Tuesday morning on NBC's 'Today' show, after host Ann Curry read two glowing reviews of the 20-year-old superstar's brand-new album, 'Speak Now.' "When you put two years of your life into something, and especially taking the risk of writing this album by myself without any co-writers, having it be received like that is so incredible. I spend so much of my time in the past couple of days just dancing around -- I'm so happy! This album means a lot to me, and the fact that it could possibly mean something to other people and they can apply it to their lives feels like a major privilege."

Taylor also has the privilege of keeping mum on just who inspired some of the tunes on 'Speak Now.' When Ann asked her about speculation that many tracks are about past loves, Taylor gave an honest answer ... without giving anything away. "One of my goals, if I was fortunate enough to have success in music, is to stay the same person and stay the same songwriter. When I started writing songs when I was 12 years old, I would write songs about people in my life. And as the years have gone on, I continue to write about my life and the people in it. I guess more people are speculating on who those people are now more so than when I was 12. But I'm always going to write about my life, and people are always going to speculate on who those songs are about .... and I'm always going to not tell them!"

Taylor performed the album's first single, 'Mine,' on the morning show, followed by the title track, 'Speak Now.' Watch the performances below.
