This week, Lee Brice's latest single, 'Love Like Crazy,' inches its way closer to the No. 1 spot on Billboard's country singles chart, holding at No. 3. But the song has already found a place in the record books, entering its 55th week on the chart and breaking the long-standing record for most weeks on the chart, which was previously held by Eddy Arnold's 1948 hit, 'Bouquet of Roses.'

"It's really hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that this song has been on the charts for over a year," Lee says. "I had a really good feeling about it when Doug Johnson played it for me, but never in my wildest dreams did I think it would have this kind of life. It's a song people can relate to ... nothing flashy; just straight forward and honest. That's what makes a truly great song."

The road has been a long one for Lee who has been in Nashville more than 10 years. "When I came to Nashville, I signed a deal a couple of years later, but it was a publishing/record deal," Lee tells The Boot. "So I was just writing, writing, writing. For the last three years that I've had singles out, I've been on the road constantly and writing. I had a little success as a writer. As an artist, you've got to just keep trucking along. You wake up every day and go play another show, then another show and another show. When you get a couple of big hits under your belt, you can kind of start sailing along."

'Love Like Crazy' isn't Lee's only record-breaking success in Billboard chart history. In 2007, Garth Brooks took Lee's co-written 'More Than a Memory' straight to No. 1, the first time a country single had ever debuted at No. 1!
