Dierks Bentley and his wife Cassidy are expecting their second child in December, just in time for the holidays. "We're so excited that our daughter Evie is going to get a baby sister or brother for Christmas," the father-to-be (again) tells People magazine.

The 21-month-old Evie should make for a wonderful big sister when her new sibling arrives this winter. "She's pretty obsessed with a baby doll she carries around now," says Dierks. "We'll see how she does with the real thing!"

Dierks met Cassidy Black in eighth grade at Phoenix's Ingleside Middle School, and he developed a huge crush on her, but felt he was too "immature" for her. After dating each other's best friend, the two later became high school sweethearts. Following graduation, Dierks moved to Nashville to pursue his musical career, while Cassidy took a job in San Francisco. That didn't mean Dierks didn't stop thinking about her, and in February 2005, she caught his show in Las Vegas. Dierks said he just knew there was no other woman for him. Cass quit her job and moved to Nashville, and 10 months later, Dierks proposed. The next day, the couple eloped to Mexico.

Their daughter, Evalyn "Evie" Day Bentley, was born October 4, 2008, and following her birth, Dierks commented that she made life "twice as big." As Evie got a bit older, the joyful father told The Boot that his daughter was "really funny and she loves her dad, and so she's fun to be around."

Dierks is not able to savor the news at home for long. He's due back on the road for a show in Louisville, Ky., on Friday (July 23).
