For most, losing your voice is just an inconvenience, but when you're a country artist who's just kicked off a nationwide tour, it's a much bigger deal. The Zac Brown Band had to cancel a recent show in Indiana because frontman Zac Brown couldn't talk or sing.

The show was scheduled for Saturday (May 2) in Evansville, Ind., at the Ford Center. The previous evening, the ZBB kicked off their 2015 summer tour in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena, and it was a smashing success; the band even tweeted, "No better way to kick off the JEKYLL + HYDE Tour. Thank you, NASHVILLE," after the show.

Unfortunately, Brown's voice just couldn't hold up after Music City. The band's website states, "Zac has lost his voice, and we won't be able to perform tonight. Consequently, we need to postpone our date at the Ford Center and apologize to all our fans. We will be rescheduling for later this year, and we appreciate all the support and love."

A new date for the Evansville concert will be announced as soon as possible. Tickets for the original date will be honored, with refunds available as well.

The Zac Brown Band's next show is scheduled for May 7 in Raleigh, N.C., at Walnut Creek Ampitheatre. They will then hit up the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta, Ga., for two consecutive nights (May 8 and 9). The band's tour dates run through Sept. 19.

The ZBB have been undeniably busy this spring. Their fourth studio album, Jekyll + Hyde, dropped on April 28 and features their newest single, “Homegrown,” collaborations with Chris Cornell and Sara Bareilles and a song written by Jason Isbell.
