For a songwriter, there is no greater thrill than learning that your song has been chosen to be a radio single. James Otto has known the thrill of singing his own songs, but that doesn't lesson the joy of having another artist, especially one like the Zac Brown Band, releasing a song you co-wrote. Such is the case with 'No Hurry,' the fifth single from the Georgia tunesmiths' 'You Get What You Give' album.

"When I got the call, my wife and I stopped what we were doing and started dancing around the kitchen of our house, we were so excited," James says. "There's nothing like the feeling of knowing one of the most successful bands in country music right now is going to release your song. I'm simply blown away, and utterly humbled."

The 'Just Got Started Lovin' You' singer co-wrote the ballad with Zac Brown and Wyatt Durrette, who shares writing credit for the band's hits 'Chicken Fried' and 'Colder Weather.'

The carefree chorus professes: "Ain't in no hurry / Be a fool now to worry / About all those things I can't change / And the time that I borrow / Can wait till tomorrow / Cause I ain't in no hurry / Ain't in no hurry / Ain't in no hurry today."

The song's message resonates with the new father, who welcomed his daughter Ava Katherine into the world last year. He explains, "When she came along, I realized it was time to slow down and focus on what really mattered to me in this life -- and that was being there for those unrepeatable moments of her first steps, words and discoveries ... and I'm still in 'no hurry' to let those little moments go."

James is also the co-writer on another tune a friend took up the charts, the ACM and CMA award-winning 'In Color,' by Jamey Johnson.

The towering tenor has set up a number of 2012 tour dates. See him next Feb. 18 in Silver Springs, Fla. Get more information about his road schedule here.
