The Zac Brown Band literally ran down the aisle Sunday night (February 13) during the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards pre-telecast ceremony to accept the Country Collaboration With Vocals award for their duet with Alan Jackson, 'As She's Walking Away.'

"My songwriting partner and I wrote this song for Alan to sing it with us and just went after him to get it done," Zac Brown told the press backstage during the awards. "It took a little time to talk his label into letting us do it. It took several days of pounding them and trying to beat them into allowing us to put it on the record. It finally paid off."

For those who saw the pre-telecast, you may have noticed a cardboard stick figure of ZBB member Chris Fryar's head in the hands of bandmate Clay Cook. "This is our drummer," Clay explained. "He couldn't make it out here for this weekend. It's become a tradition. We won Best New Artist last year and I wasn't eligible to come up on the stage, so they made a stick figure of me when they went up. Chris isn't here [this year]."

This immediately lead to the question, where's Alan's cardboard head? "We didn't think about that," Clay admitted. "We thought he might be here!"

The video for the Zac Brown Band's latest single, 'Colder Weather,' premieres today (February 14), on their website. Zac performed the tune solo at the Dierks Bentley's pre-Grammy show in Los Angeles Saturday (February 12), after the crowd practically demanded it. "That made me feel great," he admitted. "We're excited for people to hear the other songs that are on this record, as more and more singles get off it. It's a very deep album. 'Colder Weather' is the best one we've written so far, and I'm really proud to have it out there."

Before leaving the press room, Zac also announced a chartiable project the group is working on. "We have a camp that I'm building, it's a kid's camp called Camp Southern Ground," Zac said. "We're putting together the press release to let everyone know. It's [a way] to help out, contribute and build something to perpetuate food awareness and music and life skills and integration of special needs kids."
