The Zac Brown Band treated the 2015 CMA Awards audience to a performance of their newest single, "Beautiful Drug."

With the stage canopied by a semi-circle of pulsing lights, the band performed the tune simply, Brown singing the song (sans his trademark hat) from a raised platform with the rest of the group playing behind him.

The EDM-influenced track, written by Zac Brown and Niko Moon, leads the band's newest album, Jekyll + Hyde. Brown says that he hopes the tune will earn them a wider audience.

“Our boundaries have dissolved," the frontman explains of the material on Jekyll + Hyde as a whole, "and we’re going to still do things that are somewhat familiar that people like, but we’re also going to stretch out and take chances beyond what we’ve done before."

The ZBB are set to play Country Jam 2016 in Colorado in June.
