Willie Nelson Lends His Voice to Two Good Causes
Willie Nelson is joining an elite group of artists in two new projects: a charity album called 'The Imus Ranch Record' and a book about horses called 'Horse Country: A Celebration Of Country Music And The Love Of Horses.'
Nelson's love of animals led to the involvement with the latter, along with Tanya Tucker, Eddie Montgomery, Charlie Daniels, Hal Ketchum, Brad Paisley, Chris Cagle, Heidi Newfield, George Jones and several other musicians. The book is set for release on October 14.
The country legend is also a part of controversial radio personality Don Imus' 13-track collection of remakes of well-known standards and some more obscure material. The Dinah Washington hit 'What A Difference A Day Makes' is Nelson's selection on the CD that is to be released September 16, with proceeds going for children with cancer.
