Whiskey Myers, 'Where the Sun Don't Shine'

Whiskey Myers are preparing to release their next album, and they're letting readers of The Boot hear one of the new tracks early via this exclusive song premiere.

The Texas-based country rock group are stepped in the traditions of southern rock, but also draw from R&B, psychedelic rock and even string band traditions.They released their debut album, 'Road of Life,' in 2008, and followed it up with 'Firewater' in 2011.

The group -- composed of Cody Cannon, Cody Tate, John Jeffers, Jeff Hogg and Gary Brown -- will release 'Early Morning Shakes' on Feb. 4 via Wiggy Thump/Thirty Tigers. 'Where the Sun Don't Shine' showcases them doing what they do best, bringing together their soulful rock influences with a unique dose of Texas musical grit.

Texas Monthly recently called Whiskey Myers "what you might hear from the Allman Brothers Band if they'd grown up with with a serious Led Zeppelin fetish."
