Wade Bowen took his music to millions of fans this week with his debut on national TV. The singer-songwriter performed his latest single, 'When I Woke Up Today,' on the late-night show 'Conan.'

The song, which is from his latest eponymous album, spent several weeks on top of the Texas music charts.

"On all my earlier records, I think I felt like I had something to prove. On this album, I threw all of that out the window," Bowen explains. "I felt like I needed to hit the reset button. That's what this record feels like -- the start of the next phase of my career.

"It was nice to make music for the right reasons and just to have fun with it," he adds. "Hopefully people will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it."

The record, which is Bowen's seventh studio album, is intentionally similar to his energetic live shows.

“I just started analyzing the road and my passion to put up with so much to ‘make a dream fly!’” he says. “I’m still here! It’s like I tell people, the road has tried to get rid of me, but I’m still here!”

Bowen is spending the next few months performing in his home state of Texas. See a list of all of his upcoming shows here, and download 'Wade Bowen' here.
