For the past two years, Florida Georgia Line have earned the trophy for Vocal Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards. Do you think Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley will be taking home the prize for a third consecutive year, or will one of this year's other contenders dethrone them?

The Brothers Osborne released their self-titled EP in September of 2015 and spent their summer opening for Darius Rucker, on Rucker's  2015 Southern Style Tour. T.J. and Josh Osborne hope fans find their music a little deeper than what's often heard on country radio today.

“I think people are tired of the bulls–t,” John Osborne says, “and are ready for the real substance.”

Dan + Shay released their debut album in April of 2014. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney recently released a music video for their single "Nothin' Like You" and will be spending this fall on the road with Kelsea Ballerini on their Just the Right Kind of Crazy Tour.

FGL, meanwhile, will be off the road, after spending their summer out on tour in support of their sophomore album. They played dates on their own 2015 Anything Goes Tour and also in conjunction with Luke Bryan‘s 2015 Kick the Dust Up Tour.

“It’s a good year of us. It’s a good year for us,” Hubbard says. “It’s a good position to be in. It’s a cool spot.”

Maddie & Tae, the only all-female duo in contention in the Vocal Duo category this year, earned platinum with their very first single, the No. 1 hit "Girl in a Country Song." Start Here, Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye's debut album, debuted at No. 2 on the Country Albums chart at No. 9 on the all-genre chart.

Parents-to-be Thompson Square won Vocal Duo of the Year in 2012. Keifer and Shawna Thompson most recently released "Trans Am," which will be on an upcoming album that the husband-and-wife duo has been working on for more than a year.
