In 2013, Florida Georgia Line took home Vocal Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards, but will they nab it a second time around? There are some strong contenders in their category, including two repeats from last year's CMAs.

Dan + Shay, comprised of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, are newcomers; their debut album was released in April 2014. But their smooth, catchy sound and relatively quick rise to fame have earned them a spot on this roster. Meanwhile, brother duo the Swon Brothers have been around one another for a very long time -- since birth -- and their recent third place finish on 'The Voice' showed country fans that they're serious business.

Love and Theft was in contention for Vocal Duo of the Year in 2012 and 2013; could this be their lucky year? Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson have been rising in the music scene since their debut album in 2009 (then as a trio) and have a new record due later this year. Thompson Square is also no stranger to this category, having won in 2012, and they're a 100 percent adorable couple to boot. This may be the 'I Can't Outrun You' hitmakers' year to win.

But, the question remains: Will FGL defend their title and "cruise" to another victory?
