On Tuesday (Sept. 27), Vince Gill, Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves, Joe Walsh and James Taylor participated in All for the Hall Los Angeles, taking the stage together to play an intimate guitar pull to raise funds for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. One of the best highlights of the evening? An incredibly beautiful rendition of Taylor's "Bartender's Blues" -- performed with Gill.

Gill, Stapleton, Musgraves, Taylor and Walsh spent the evening offering up intimate performances of some of their best-loved songs. But perhaps the biggest highlight of the night was when Gill surprised attendees with his phenomenal performance of "Bartender's Blues." Readers can press play above to watch Gill and Taylor perform an impeccable, stripped-down rendition of Taylor's 1977 song, while the other three musicians on the bill listen in rapt attention.

"I did not know you knew that!" Taylor says with a laugh after the two shake hands post-performance, to thunderous applause.

Although "Barternder's Blues" was originally written and recorded by Taylor, the ballad was later cut by George Jones and became a rarity in Taylor's setlists. But onstage at All for the Hall LA, Gill and Taylor brought new life to the song, harmonizing to perfection and adding a lived-in, yet completely fresh, sound to the classic.

"Bartender's Blues" was just one of many once-in-a-lifetime performances that took place during All for the Hall LA. Rolling Stone reports that Stapleton literally bowed down to Walsh after he played his 1972 hit "Meadows," taking time ruminate on the brilliance of Walsh's former band, the Eagles. Additionally, Musgraves teared up after Taylor played "You've Got a Friend" in honor of the recently deceased Arnold Palmer at Gill's request, and Walsh and Taylor teamed up for a funky version of "Steamroller."
