They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but in Travis Tritt's case, it's apparently worth $10,000.

The singer recently played at a private charity event in Denver, Colo. to benefit the American Cancer Society. While at the event, a generous fan purchased a Travis Tritt guitar donated for the worthy cause, and then offered up another $10,000 to have his picture taken with the country music star.

Tritt's appearance in Colorado is part of his fall tour, which is selling out all over the country. He is performing songs from his latest album, 'The Calm After,' which is the fist record released on his own label, Post Oak Records. But while the multi-platinum selling artist is working hard, he says he is enjoying his career more than ever before.

"I’ve got to tell you, I’m more energized — I’ve never lost the love for performing, for going out on stage and making music for fans," he tells The Boot. "I’ve never lost the love for creating new music, for writing, producing, being in the studio. But I’m more energized by having this opportunity now than I can remember being at any point in my career. It’s so exciting to have this opportunity at this point in time. I turned 50 years old this year — that’s what my mother tells me, I think I’m gonna have to check my birth certificate."

Tritt's tour continues with stops in Louisiana and Arkansas this month. See all of his upcoming shows here.
