Trace Adkins returned to the stage to perform the classic Christmas carol 'Silent Night' for 'CMA Country Christmas' on Monday night (Dec. 2).

The deep-voiced singer was joined on stage by Lily Costner, whose light airy voice seemed like a perfect fit for Adkins. Backed by simple acoustic instruments, the two sat on stools and cast a peaceful and contemplative spell over audience members as they sang the popular tune.

Adkins will be joined by another female on stage next week, when he shares the stage with Danica Patrick to co-host the American Country Awards. The ceremony will air live from Las Vegas on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8PM ET on Fox.
