Trace Adkins gave fans a special treat in Nashville on Tuesday night (March 11). The star took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry for an unannounced performance with Exile.

The gig marked the first time Adkins has performed in public since a string of personal problems earlier this year. The star entered rehab in January after taking his first drink in more than a decade, and subsequently departed the treatment facility early to be with his father, who passed away at the beginning of February.

Adkins joined Exile on stage Tuesday for their hit 'Kiss You All Over,' which he re-recorded as a duet last year for his album, 'Love Will....'

It was the first time Adkins has performed the song with the group.

According to his website, Adkins will resume his regular performing schedule with an upcoming gig at Seneca Niagara Casino Theatre in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on June 13.
