Trace Adkins closed out the fourth annual American Country Awards on Tuesday night (Dec. 10), with a performance of a song from his new Christmas album, 'The King's Gift.'

Adkins was joined on stage by renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff, as well as the Foothill High School Drumline, as he sang 'Carol of the Drum'

“This is the first Christmas record I’ve ever made, and I am so proud of this Christmas record, probably more proud of this than anything that I’ve possibly ever done with the exception of some of those really deep, profound military songs that pay tribute to heroes,” Adkins says of the holiday collection of tunes. “But other than that, I think, for my money, this record has more depth than anything — and it’s a Christmas record. I love this record.”

Adkins, who has hosted the ACAs every year since they began in 2010, is currently on his Christmas Show Tour, which will wrap up on Dec. 18. See his remaining concerts here.
