Toby Keith braved some extreme weather in Winsted, Minn. to perform for fans attending the 2014 Winstock Music Festival.

Keith delayed the start of his set due to a storm that stretched from the Texas Panhandle all the way the to Great Lakes, bringing with it 20-30 mph winds, lightning and an intense downpour. Once he thought it was safe enough, Keith decided to hit the stage in the rain.

"We found a window of time where lightning was at a safe distance, and we went on," says Keith's tour manager David Milam.

Some earlier acts were cancelled due to lightning, but Keith was able to perform without using some of his planned pyrotechnics due to the wind. The weather caused some equipment damage, including loss of HD cameras and projectors, as the rain continued through the set.

The performance was a stop along Keith's Shut Up and Hold On Tour, which is supported by his daughter Krystal Keith, who was at Winstock, and Colt Ford. Upcoming tour stops can be found at TobyKeith.com.
