Tim McGraw will kick off the new season of the PBS series, 'Live From the Artists Den,' with an hour-long peek into his new album, 'Sundown Heaven Town.'

The 'Meanwhile Back at Mama's' singer filmed his episode at a century-old, eight-story bank building in downtown Houston, Texas, which he says is a venue he will likely never forget.

“Playing in an arena or a stadium, they all look the same to a certain extent,” he notes. “You come into a space like this, and you just play differently. It inspires you in a different sort of way."

McGraw is kicking off the eighth season of the series, which also includes performances by Lily Allen, Jason Mraz and Rodrigo y Gabriela.

“This is one of the most diverse seasons of 'The Artists Den' yet, and it really speaks to not only the range and quality of music that’s out there, but also the sophisticated taste of our fans,” Mark Lieberman, founder and executive producer of 'Live From the Artists Den,' says. “There’s something for everyone.”

McGraw's episode will debut on July 4. Check local listings here.

The Louisiana native isn't the only country star who will be appearing on PBS. Lady Antebellum and Dierks Bentley will also each appear in their own episode of the network's concert show, 'Front and Center.'

McGraw is currently crossing the country on his Sundown Heaven Town Tour, which will play in Mississippi, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio later this month. See all of his upcoming shows here.
