Tim McGraw has done it again. The singer has scored his 35th No. 1 hit, with his latest single, 'Southern Girl.' The song is the third chart-topping hit from his current 'Two Lanes of Freedom' album.

"I think on every record there's a song that the fans take and make their own, and we saw that happen with 'Southern Girl' on the road this summer," McGraw says.  "It's been an incredible year and having so much success and three straight No. 1s played a big part of that. I listen to country radio every morning without fail. Even after 35 of these, hearing your local DJ introduce and then play one of your songs will never get old."

The 46-year-old will perform at the upcoming CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 6), where he is also nominated for three trophies. He is in the running for Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year, all for his previous No. 1 song, 'Highway Don't Care,' which included guest appearances by Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.

McGraw is spending a lot of time traveling these days. He is juggling performing his Soul2Soul show alongside his wife Faith Hill at the Venetian in Las Vegas, along with filming his next movie, 'Tomorrowland,' with George Clooney in Vancouver.
