Tim McGraw is sharing details of giving mortgage-free homes to deserving military families through his nationwide program called HomeFront. So far, 18 of 25 homes have been awarded during Tim's Brothers of the Sun trek with Kenny Chesney.

"Our military families answer a call to action every day, and Operation Homefront gives civilians an opportunity to give back to them," says the singer. "I consider it an honor to partner with Lifting Lives, Chase and Operation Homefront on this initiative to help these heroes. Anyone can make a donation -- small or large -- to support this effort, and we also hope to spread the word to military families that they are invited to apply for help, if they need it."

In an interview with the Academy of Country Music (ACM) while on a tour stop in Anaheim, Calif., Tim met retired U.S. Marine Sgt. Anthony Hodge and his wife, Laura, and presented the couple with keys to their new home in Canoga Park, Calif.

Sgt. Hodge retired from the U.S. Marine Corps earlier this year after ten years of service, during which he completed tours in Kuwait and Iraq as a field rig operator before retiring from injuries sustained while deployed.

"Tim has always been dedicated to the military, and he always gives shout-outs to us and he just supports us in everything that he can do," Sgt. Hodge said of the superstar and his program. "It's just like he understands us. This new home is a dream come true, and will definitely allow us to start fresh for a happier life."

Tim launched HomeFront in partnership with Chase, ACM Lifting Lives and the non-profit Operation Homefront. ACM Lifting Lives has donated $125,000 to the initiative, allowing families to purchase what they need for their new home.
