As the father of three daughters with wife Faith Hill, Tim McGraw has always had a special connection with his 2006 hit, 'My Little Girl.' It was the first of his singles which he co-wrote, and was featured in his movie, 'Flicka.' Last year, McGraw and collaborator Tom Douglas turned their song into a successful -- and now award-winning -- book.

'My Little Girl' has just received a 2009 Mom's Choice Award Gold Seal for Outstanding Children's Book. The award was chosen by a panel of judges, including Dr. Twila C. Liggett (founder of Reading Rainbow) and Julie Aigner-Clark (creator of 'Baby Einstein').

"This book was a family effort," says McGraw. "My daughters were involved in the concept of the story and making sure we included our family dog, Palio. And Faith was a huge supporter. It's a nice honor for all of us."

The Mom's Choice Awards annual competition recognizes authors, inventors, companies, parents and others for their efforts in creating quality family-friendly media products and services.

Also a father of three, Tom Douglas has written hits for Martina McBride ('Love's the Only House'), Collin Raye ('Little Rock' ) and Jim Brickman ('The Gift').
