Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have a long-standing, and delicious, Christmas Eve tradition stemming from McGraw's Italian roots.

Hill has mentioned in previous interviews that most of their family's traditions center around the kitchen -- and Christmas is no different. McGraw told CMT that it's his side of the family that dictates the tradition on Dec. 24 and 25.

"My mother's maiden name is D'Agastino, so it comes from an Italian family on her side," McGraw says. "So for Christmas Eve, we always have homemade pasta, and that's sort of a tradition that I had growing up."

He adds, "It's continued since I've been married, and we look forward to that every Christmas Eve -- having a big pasta dinner Christmas Eve and getting up Christmas morning and making eggs with spaghetti sauce, which is sort of a cool deal at our house."

Eating a plate full of fresh homemade pasta sounds like the perfect way to spend time with family. We wish the McGraws the best in their celebration!
