Tim McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill, have both had successful solo careers, in addition to making a name for themselves as a touring couple. Their path is one Miranda Lambert has said she hopes to follow with her husband, Blake Shelton, prompting McGraw to offer a few words of wisdom.

“They’re great,” McGraw says (quote via Big Machine Records). “They’re both individual artists ... It’s just never lose sight of your individuality as an artist. Because that’s the driving force of what, as artists, makes us smart.”

Lambert, who is currently on her Locked & Reloaded Tour with Dierks Bentley while Shelton enjoys his Ten Times Crazier tour, hints that plans for them to hit the road together are already in the works.

“I think the more we’ve grown, the more we’ve grown closer we started to go together musically a little bit more,” Lambert notes  “So I think it’d make more sense for a tour.”

The 'Southern Girl' singer knows what he is talking about. He and his wife launched their successful Soul2Soul tour in 2000, followed by their Soul2Soul II tour in 2006. They also recently extended their residency at the Venetian in Las Vegas, performing a series of Soul2Soul shows through April 2014.

“We made the most out of our short time in Vegas and had a lot of fun onstage and offstage, but it seemed like it was over just as we were getting good and warmed up,” he explains. ”The reaction was impossible to ignore, so it was a total no-brainer to add more shows when the Venetian asked us. It’s been an ideal way for us to be able to perform together.”
