Naomi and Wynonna Judd will once again come together as the Judds, headlining an Oct. 18 benefit concert in the duo's hometown of Franklin, Tenn. Part of the Green Nights concert series, the musical event will benefit the recently restored Franklin Theatre, to ensure its future use by town residents.

"I love Franklin and knowing that part of it is being kept original is so important to me and my children," Wynonna gushes about her hometown. "I have lived in Franklin since 1978. One of the things I love most is our small town spirit and the way we all hold sacred our unique community. The familiar sights and the beauty I see when cruising down Main Street does my heart good. I am happy and grateful to live in such a special place. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else on the planet."

Naomi shares the same nostalgia for for the middle Tennessee community, 20 miles south of Nashville. "The heart of Franklin is the theatre and it's beating again," says the singer. "It never occurred to me that we'd have the thrill of actually performing up on its stage, looking out at smiling, familiar neighbors. Pardon me if I shed a tear of nostalgic joy."

Under the ownership of the Heritage Foundation, the Franklin Theatre re-opened their doors to residents in June of this year. The foundation, also responsible for spearheading the renovations, will plant a legacy tree in honor of the Judds' contributions in a public place in Williamson County, Tenn.

Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday (Sept. 23). Click here for more details.
