Politics and country collided over the weekend, as the Bellamy Brothers performed on FOX-TV's 'Huckabee' show. "One of the best things about doing this show is the amazing people I get to meet," said former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, a long time Bellamy Brothers fan.

Huckabee interviewed the duo about the resurgence of their classic hit, 'Let Your Love Flow,' and even played bass as brothers Howard and David performed the tune in New York's FOX studios. The remainder of the band was comprised of FOX employees/musicians who regularly back musical guests on 'Huckabee,' including Lauren Green, FOX News' religion correspondent, on keyboards.

"We were pleasantly surprised by the Governor's bass playing," David Bellamy tells the Boot. "He seems to have a genuine feel for music and he's a great guy to talk to on and off camera."

'Let Your Love' was recently used by England's Barclay Bank in a credit card commercial and the song's TV exposure propelled it back on the charts. "If we'd been asked what the chances were of 'Let Your Love Flow' becoming a hit again in the U.K. after 33 years, we would have said zero," says David Bellamy. "So you can imagine how excited we were to see it in the Top 20 again with Beyonce and Britney [Spears]. It just shows you the power of a television commercial."

The Bellamy Brothers first released 'Let Your Love Flow' in 1976 and the tune climbed to No. 1 on the pop charts in the U.S., Great Britain, Scandinavia, and Germany.
