The Band Perry Say New Album is ‘Going Great’
The Band Perry are working on their next studio album and they say that fans could be hearing new music from them soon.
"It's going great... I'd say we have about half of it done," Kimberly Perry says. "You guys will have new music in your hands certainly in the first half of 2015."
That's great news for fans of the sibling trio, whose last studio album, 'Pioneer,' was released in April, 2013. On 'Pioneer,' the group worked with producers Rick Rubin and Dann Huff, but they decided to try something new for the upcoming album.
"For this new record we're actually, we're mixing it up," Perry says. "We have a lot of interesting things happening. You know, the co-writes are one thing we've gotten really excited about as well. There's a new girl that's been here in Nashville writing, her name is Audra Mae, she's a very spirited young lady. So we've just made a lot of new writing friendships and we can't wait for you guys to hear it."
The group is nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award for their version of Glen Campbell's 'Gentle on My Mind,' which is featured on the soundtrack to the documentary about the icon, 'Glen Campbell … I’ll Be Me.’
