Country legend TG Sheppard has been released from Vanderbilt Medical Center after undergoing a heart procedure on Tuesday (Jan. 13).

The singer is now resting comfortably at home after having an ablation to fix an irregular heart rhythm. His wife, Kelly Lang, let fans know via Facebook that Sheppard was being discharged on Wednesday (Jan. 14).

"Thank you all so much for all of your prayers! ... Whew! It has been a marathon day," she wrote just after her husband got out of surgery. "All is well. He is in recovery and doing great. Prayers make such a difference. Praise God."

Fans have continued to send uplifting messages, prompting Lang to add, "Again, thank you all for your uplifting messages. I read them to TG when he's awake, and they make him smile."

Sheppard won't be letting the procedure keep him out of the game for too long, according to a short but sweet message sent via a press release.

"I'm thankful for the outpouring of support and prayers," he says. "I look forward to returning to the road next week and resuming with concerts."

The Boot sends our well wishes for a quick recovery to the 'Devil in a Bottle' hitmaker. He recently wrapped up a fall tour to promote his 'Iconic Duets' album, which he recorded with Lang.
