TG Sheppard is hitting the road this year. The 70-year-old has announced he will spend much of the next few months on the road, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of his debut single, 'Devil in the Bottle,' which hit No. 1 on Feb. 15, 1975.

"I'm constantly amazed to see such a wide age range of people who are showing up for our concerts night after night," Sheppard says. "Country music fans have never been fickle and will never leave you as long as you’re true to them and your music. They are growing larger in numbers all the time."

The Tennessee native will play in North Dakota and Texas, as well as in his home state.

"I'm looking forward to my upcoming tour dates, along with playing closer to home at the incredible Franklin Theatre with my talented wife, Kelly Lang," he adds. "I haven't done a show locally in years. It will be fun doing a concert this close to Nashville."

Sheppard also toured in the fall of 2014, before undergoing heart surgery last month to repair an irregular heart rhythm.

“I’m thankful for the outpouring of support and prayers,” he said after his operation. “I look forward to returning to the road next week and resuming with concerts.”
