TG Sheppard Announces 2015 Summer Tour

TG Sheppard's first No. 1 hit, "Devil in the Bottle," hit the top of the charts 40 years ago this year, and the singer is celebrating the milestone with a newly announced tour across the U.S.

The singer kicks off the tour with Jimmy Fortune on July 4 at Bisset Park in Radford, Va., with dates currently scheduled into December. More shows are expected to be added to Sheppard's tour schedule in the coming weeks.

“I'm always amazed at the number of fans that are still coming to my shows after all these years, and I am thankful for their support,” Sheppard says of his long career. “Country music fans are some of the most loyal people in the world, and it’s my job to make sure they're entertained night after night and that, when they leave my show, they've seen something special.”

Along with Fortune, Sheppard will be joined on the road by Leroy Van Dyke, Moe Bandy, Crystal Gayle and others. His wife, songwriter Kelly Lang, will also make an appearance at several dates. The pair released an album together, Iconic Duets, in 2013, featuring their takes on many famous collaborations, including "Jackson" and "Golden Ring"

Sheppard played a string of concert dates this spring after undergoing heart surgery earlier this year to repair an irregular heart rhythm.

“I’m thankful for the outpouring of support and prayers,” he said after his operation. “I look forward to returning to the road next week and resuming with concerts.”
