Terri Clark is working on a new album, and she's enlisting the help of her fans to complete the project.

The Canadian has launched a PledgeMusic campaign, which allows fans the option to pre-order the record, as well as receive updates throughout the songwriting, recording and promotional process. In addition, those who make pledges can receive merchandise, including signed memorabilia, a phone call with Clark and even the opportunity to spend time in the studio while she is working on the project.

“Releasing a record this way allows me to have a closer connection with my fans throughout the entire process of making the album,” Clark explains. “It allows me to offer all kinds of unique and personal experiences that they can be a part of. The music industry has changed so much, but the fans are always there with me. What better way to say ‘thank you’ than to bring them on this journey.”

Clark's last album was 2012's 'Classic,' which included duets with Reba McEntire, Dierks Bentley and Tanya Tucker. She admits recording her new set of tunes this way is a bit nerve-wracking, but she is happy to take on the challenge.

"This is uncharted territory for me, and probably some of you as well, but sometimes the best ideas are ones that you just trust your gut (and your fans) and go for it," she notes. "It will be a unique experience for all of us, but most of all I hope you get to see how your support can make a big impact and allows me to continue doing what I love to do day in and day out."

Other artists who have participated in PledgeMusic include Julie Roberts, Lucinda Williams and Luke Bryan, who used the platform for his Farm Tour scholarship fund.

Clark's upcoming, still-untitled album is scheduled for a fall release. Pledges range from $10, which includes an album download and updates, up to $50,000 to be Clark's date at the 2014 Canadian Country Music Awards. To find out more information, or to make a pledge, click here.
