Taylor Swift Taylor Swift may be sinking her teeth into an even bigger acting role, if 'The Vampire Diaries' writer and producer Kevin Williamson has his way.

Williamson, who created the popular television series 'Dawson's Creek,' recently gave a surprising answer when asked whether he would ask 'Dawson' alumnus Katie Holmes to star in his new TV series. "I think she's got bigger fish to fry at the moment," he told the New York Post. 'My new obsession is getting Taylor Swift!"

Clearly, the producer will do whatever it takes to get the country star on his show. "I'm desperate to have [Swift] come play a vampire," he continued. "Wouldn't she make an amazing Kirsten Dunst circa 'Interview With the Vampire' type?"

And Williamson certainly doesn't give up easily. "I tried to get her on the show once, but she was touring," he admits, also acknowledging that Taylor may be "too big for 'Vampire Diaries' now," but insisting he will continue in his pursuit. "Oh my god, I cannot tell you how hard I'm trying to get her. I would kill to have her on the show!"

Taylor, who just happens to be romantically linked to an actor who stars in a red-hot vampire movie, Taylor Lautner from 'New Moon: The Twilight Saga,' has already cleared her calendar for a few TV and film appearances. Recently hosting 'Saturday Night Live' for the first time, she has also appeared on an episode of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' and in the recent summer blockbuster 'Hannah Montana: The Movie,' along with pal Miley Cyrus. The teen will get even more time on the big screen next year when she tackles her first major movie role in 'Valentine's Day,' due in theaters in February.
