She's still on tour to promote her Triple Platinum smash 'Red,' but Taylor Swift is already getting the itch to create more new music. Speaking to reporters backstage at the CMA Festival in Nashville on Thursday (June 6), the pop country superstar said she can feel herself getting into the writing mode.

"It's starting," she said (quote via USA Today). "All the anxiety is starting. When the anxiety starts, the writing happens right after, usually."

That doesn't mean fans can mark their calenders just yet. Swift added that it usually takes her two years to come up with the songs for an album project.

"Whatever I write in the first year is going to get thrown away," she said. "I'm going to like it, but it's going to sound like the last record. The second year usually sounds like the next project."

The superstar singer-songwriter adds that she thinks it's important to keep moving forward musically with each project by taking in different influences and being inspired by new things.
