Taylor Swift Addresses ‘Serious Accusations’ in Rolling Stone

Taylor Swift has been all over the news lately and not just because she's about to release her latest album, Red, on Oct. 22. The superstar entertainer, whose love life remains the subject of widespread speculation, is rumored to be dating 18-year-old Conor Kennedy. The couple came under fire in August when they were accused of crashing a Kennedy family member's wedding in Boston.

"I have no idea what happened there," Taylor tells Rolling Stone magazine (quote via celebrity-gossip.net). "I think the story was based on the biggest misunderstanding. I would never knowingly show up somewhere that I thought I wasn't invited to. And I would never want to upstage anybody."

The 22-year-old knows there is plenty written about her but insists that she refuses to read much of it, including the recent story that she missed her beau so much, she kidnapped him by sending a private jet to pick him up at his boarding school.

"How did I kidnap him?" Taylor reportedly asked Rolling Stone. "You can't kidnap a grown man! These are serious accusations, now! It's an interesting way to spin something into a story. See, this is why I don't read stuff."

The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer has sung about her previous heartbreak in several of her songs, including "Dear John" and "Should've Said No." But she makes it clear she still believes in a happy-ever-after love story.

"The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard," the singer-songwriter maintains. "You have to forget about what everyone else thinks. It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritizing it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I'll talk myself out of it. ... I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them."

Taylor graces the cover of the current issue of Rolling Stone, which will hit shelves Friday, Oct. 12.
