Taylor Swift got to do more than just meet royalty on Tuesday night (Nov. 26). The pop-country princess got to perform live with Prince William at a benefit at Kensington Palace.

The Daily Mail reports that Swift was in the UK to attend the Winter Whites gala, which supports Centrepoint, a charity for at-risk youth. She performed at the gala, and so did rocker Jon Bon Jovi, who called upon the Duke of Cambridge to join him onstage for his hit 'Livin' on a Prayer.'

The prince, who had met Bon Jovi and Swift at a drinks reception prior to the benefit, consented, but only if the country-pop superstar would also join them. In what must surely be the most unusual rendition of 'Livin' on a Prayer' in history, the two then provided backing vocals as Bon Jovi performed the song on acoustic guitar, backed by the formal ensemble that had provided the music for the gala.

In the video above, an elated Swift is seen high-fiving the future King of England mid-song after they lock in on their vocals, with Prince William turning in a surprisingly in-tune performance.

"I'm absolutely excited," Swift told reporters before the gala. "I don't think I've ever played at a palace before, so it is really wonderful."
