Is Taylor Swift moving in with Jess and the boys of FOX's "New Girl"? No, but she will be partying with the show's star Zooey Deschanel. The network has confirmed Entertainment Weekly's report that the "22" singer will be guest-starring in the show's Season 2 finale, titled, "Downton Abbey Christmas Special (Part II)."

The episode, which airs May 14, will include the long-expected wedding of Hannah Simone's character, Cece -- best friend to the show's main character, Jess -- to Shivrang, portrayed by Satya Bhabha. Taylor will play Elaine, an "important guest" at the nuptials. The singer-songwriter, who is currently in the midst of her Red tour, will shoot her part next week.

This may be Taylor's first appearance on the sitcom, but she's been referenced several times, including an episode earlier this season when Jess (Zooey) told Nick (Jake Johnson), "I just want to listen to Taylor Swift alone," while recovering from a breakup. Acting isn't new to the ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee, either, as she has guest starred on "CSI," lent her voice to "The Lorax" and appeared in the film "Valentine's Day."

Zooey has some country connections, as well. In 2011, Loretta Lynn invited the singer-actress to the Grand Ole Opry stage to announce she would play the Country Music Hall of Famer in the Broadway musical adaptation of "Coal Miner's Daughter." The show is still in pre-production.
