Taylor Swift played her first of two 1989 World Tour shows in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on Friday night (Oct. 2), and she surprised the crowd gathered at the city's Rogers Center with none other than Keith Urban.

Urban and Swift first performed Urban's newest hit, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16," but the country superstar wasn't done with just one tune. After that song was over, he stuck around onstage and sang "Somebody Like You." Press play on the video below to watch a snippet of the second song.

"Someone absolutely incredible is about to come out on this stage," Swift told the audience before introducing Urban. "This is someone who has sold 20 million records but, more importantly, is an amazing human being.

"I actually had opened up for his tour years ago," Swift continued. "He's been so wonderful to me. He's one of the most talented people who has ever been born."

As Swift alluded to, she opened for Urban back in 2009, on his Escape Together World Tour. At the time, she was also headlining her own Fearless Tour. Along with Tim McGraw, the two scored a No. 1 hit together, in 2013, with "Highway Don't Care."

Numerous other country acts have shared the stage with Swift during her current tour: In Nashville on Sept. 25, Kelsea Ballerini, Alison Krauss and Steven Tyler surprised the crowd, and in Kansas City, Mo., in late September, Dierks Bentley played "Every Mile a Memory." The Band Perry performed “If I Die Young” with Swift at a mid-September concert in Indianapolis, Ind.; the Dixie Chicks‘ Natalie Maines sang “Goodbye Earl” at one of Swift’s Los Angeles stops in late August; Sam Hunt performed “Take Your Time” at a mid-July show in Chicago; and during a June concert in Pittsburgh, Little Big Town came out to perform “Pontoon.”
